My areas of expertise include automated microscopy technologies and their applications, digital image processing and image analysis techniques, and the development and marketing of products based on these technologies. Objective Imaging, the Cambridge, UK-based company I co-founded in March 2000, specializes in creating compact, high-performance motion controllers, microscope automation hardware, and software applications for microscopy. Our Oasis automation controllers have been integrated into many thousands of automated microscope-based scanning systems worldwide. For over 20 years, OI has also been a leader in developing innovative hardware and software solutions for the automated acquisition of large-scale mosaic images of microscopic specimens for industrial/semiconductor, life science research, and medical applications, including our Glissando range of digital pathology slide scanners.
