I spent this past summer interning at Eastern Ohio Regional Wastewater Authority in my hometown. It was an incredible experience and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to work with such a great company. During my internship I gained knowledge on how an office setting truly works. I spent my time doing every day office work as well as helping plan a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony.

All students in the College of Business at Ohio University are required to completed Integrated Business Cluster. My experience with Cluster consisted of completing two team projects with two separate teams. My first project was an industry analysis on Women's luxury fashion companies, eventually narrowing down to my team and I focusing on Henri Bendel's store and making recommendations for their business. My second project was to then develop a creative company in the fashion world. My team and I started up a company called "Beyond" where we sold women's plus size professional pants and jackets with a new scaling model that is not currently used. Throughout Cluster I personally worked on the primary demand forecast where I centered in on cold calls, observations, focus groups and surveys. I wrote a mock cold call script for comparable companies, studied the process of observations and focus groups as well as creating questions for our survey. Overall Integrated Business Cluster was the closest real world experience I could get while still in college. It improved my communication, teamwork, time management and self-discipline skills.
