Providing nonprofit (NFP) and nongovernmental (NGO) financial management solutions for clients based in Europe and the United States. My goal is to facilitate and increase the capacity of my clients allowing them to better focus on achieving their missions.Specialized as an NFP and NGO Finance Director and Accountant, I can provide all aspects needed to ensure the sustainability, strategic planning, project management and bookkeeping of any organization.

For the first six months as the Director of Finance and Admin, I was responsible for transforming the accounting and financial infrastructure for the organization. From the reports provided to the board of directors to the accounting entries, all functions of the organization's finances were redesigned. Beginning in February 2019, I became the interim Communications Director as well. During this time we hosted our 24th annual Stewardship Awards Banquet and installed the organization's second oyster reef. This position also required strategic communications and database management for the organization's outreach via social media and emails.In the summer of 2019, I was reassigned to be the Director of Finance, Admin and Community Engagement helping to lead a shift in organizational planning to more community engagement and outreach.

In 2013, ILGA-Europe gave me the opportunity to apply my personal and professional traits to impact people and our mission in my own small way.Just as the organization was beginning to expand – and expand rapidly – the need for better financial workflows and operating transparency were needed. Over the next five years, the organization increased from 13 to 23 employees and 8 to now over 20 projects including several donor-restricted funds. There is never a simple, routine day at ILGA-Europe. Responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping, grant compliance, budgeting, human resources, administration, audit preparation, project reporting, and financial oversight – every day provides a different, challenging experience. On top of my day-to-day obligations, I’ve trained over one hundred LGBTI activists throughout Europe on the fundamentals of financial management and internal workflow systems. I’ve also been a resource for other civil society organizations needing expertise and assistance.Greatest Accomplishments:• Planning and executing the organizations first significant fundraising initiative – European Equality Gala • Overseeing, contracting and implementing the largest LGBTI annual conferences in Europe – Zagreb, Riga, Athens, Nicosia, and Warsaw• Performing annual financial management training for member organizations from all throughout Europe

Hired before graduating college, I became a lead Senior Independent Auditor specializing in non-profit, governmental, hospitals and employee benefit plan engagements. My responsibility included the preparation, fieldwork and wrap up of numerous audits to ensure my client’s financial statements were fairly presented and in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. On an on-going basis, I was responsible for making suggestions for possible operating improvements and internal controls to help ensure their compliance with accounting standards and normal business activities.Over the span of five years, I became comfortable and confident in managing a diverse and sometimes remote engagement team while managing the client’s workload to ensure all reporting deadlines and delivery of auditor reports were completed on a timely basis. The position was fun and exciting. It also opened my eyes to the possibilities a solid financial and accounting background can provide.Every week, I was responsible for planning or executing a different audit engagement. By the end of my experience with Eide Bailly, I had an enjoyable mix of non-profit, governmental and healthcare clients that continued to push my expertise while also allowing me to invest my energy to guarantee my client’s missions were a success.
