Recruited to this national role, managing new construction, renovations and corporate store maintenance. Responsible for reorganizing the existing construction services to better support Cara’s new store growth objectives. The role included everything from staffing, value engineering, budgeting, site reviews, managing the municipal permitting process (zoning, variances, site plan approval, development permits, building permit, and sign permits), managing the construction process for both new and existing facilities.

This was a national role managing both the design and construction process for Mr. Lube’s facilities. Recruited to this national role, managing the franchising, real estate, and construction for Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada. Responsible for new “ground up” construction for clients such as the Bank of Nova Scotia, Prime Restaurants (Casey’s, East Side Mario’s), Cara Operations Limited etc. as well as renovations and a variety of “roll out” programs for clients such as Sun Life Financial, McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada, and the TDL Group Limited (Tim Horton’s).

Project managed and led the work activities of medium and large size project teams. Managed projects from inception to completion ensuring success. Projects included McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada, the TDL Group Limited (Tim Horton’s), Carlton Cards, and Future Shop.

As a member of the construction team, supported the Swiss Chalet, Airport Terminal Restaurants, and the Harvey’s brands. Provided construction service to field operations and managed consultants and suppliers.
