His consultancies in the music industry provided the inspiration for entering the executive search business. Over thirty years later, he has completed hundreds of searches for some of the most innovative companies. Projects with key clients in the consumer/commercial products and industrial automation industries have him completing US-based and international searches on six continents. He frequently serves as a resource to international venture capital firms in identifying key senior executives.Away from The Mattran Group, Don has a passion for anything that goes fast; mostly cars and boats. And at various times he has been a competitive runner, skier, and cyclist. Don also holds sailing and driving records. His current passion is his Porsche GT3, and serving as High Performance Driving instructor for Porsche Club of America (PCA) and has been awarded the distinction of "Instructor of the Year, 2014" for his dedication and excellence in the Suncoast Region's Driver Education program.
