I am the owner of Crafty Canine Club, a dog training and boarding facility in San Diego. I manage the day to day business operations and oversee 5 employees, as well as work as a full time behaviorist with the dogs we care for. I am a certified animal behaviorist and behavioral consultant. I have 6,500 hours in behavior modification training, specializing in working with aggressive, reactive, or fearful dogs that need help integrating back into society. I take a relationship-based training approach with every dog I work with, and aim to build a foundation of trust before working on ANY behavior modification. This means building a bond through the proper interpretation of social cues & body language. This relationship and understanding is imperative to communicate and form balanced relationships specifically with canines. I have been formally training dogs for 8 years, and have had my own training business for 3. In addition to my time spent training at CCC, I have also re-homed 64 dogs since moving to San Diego and founding Crafty’s Crew Rescue. Crafty’s Crew is a 501(c) non-profit animal rescue that specializes in helping rescue, train, and re-home canines from high kill shelters around Southern California. Before CCC & CCR, I played in the NFL for two years for the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles. Once I was finished with my professional career, I moved across the country to start this business of my dreams. Previously, I graduated from the Villanova School of Business with a focus in finance, and played four years of football for the Wildcats. I finished as 3x 1st Team All-CAA, 2x 1st Team All-American, and a 2015 Runner for the Buck Buchanan Award (best defense player in all of FCS football). I have an unmatched work ethic, and an extreme passion for animals. I aim to help owners understand the process behind my training style, and am eager continue to develop research to support the advancement of canine intelligence.
