I am a passionate fearless entrepreneur with over 50 years of experience in finding innovative products, systems, methods, approaches, strategic partnerships, and unique solutions to fulfill the needs of the markets and customers with whom I choose to be involved.I was born in the Midwest, Indiana, and grew up in the countryside in Michigan until I was thirteen, and then I lived in a couple of southern states before settling in Chicago my senior year of high school. I went to a different high school every single year. After high school, I began my advertising career as an art director and producer for a principal ad agency. I loved art, and my mother recognized my passion and put me in art classes where ever she could find them. I believed in myself and wanted to have an art career. So, having no fear, I managed to secure an interview with an agency hiring for a mailroom position. If I could get my foot in the door and show my passion, I knew I could have a shot at my dream! I had a dynamite portfolio and took it with me. The interview went great! Then the question came, "What's in the portfolio? It's my portfolio! Would you like to see it? Of course!" I didn't realize this person screened all the art students from the art schools before hiring. We went through every piece, and she asked questions; finally, she said, "I have someone I'd like you to meet." She returned with her boss, who looked like Mr. Clean, one of their ad characters, and the review repeated. We all hit it off, and they left. When she returned, she said, "You've made quite an impression. I didn't expect this. We have another position open for an assistant art director, and you'd be a good fit. Your portfolio is better than most I review. Would you be interested?" WOW! My heart was pumping! "When do I start?!"I tell this story because I learned very early in life, You don't get if you don't ask! This action changed my life forever. It launched my art, photography, filmmaking, marketing/advertising, and entrepreneurship career. Believe in yourself, be passionate about who you are, and go big! If you stumble, get up and keep trying. Never give up on your dreams. If you want it, ask for it. The answer may be yes!I'm passionate about helping others achieve their goals.
