I'm a recent graduate with my B.S. of Accounting, and I've been working in the finance field for the past ten years. I hope to transition my skills to a career in Accounting as I am pursuing my CPA license as well. It was hard going to school full time while also working full time, but it's been a rewarding experience and taught me how to prioritize and manage my time efficiently.I have a lot of transferable skills such as Excel, Quickbooks, and general ledger balancing. I love doing analytical work, and I like to look at problems as a puzzle to be solved instead of an obstacle. In my current position I work alongside the accounting department to make entries and adjustments to our GL accounts and ensure that they balance, so even though I don't work as an accountant currently, I have some experience with their processes. I've been working from home for over a year and find it provides a good work life balance as well as increasing my productivity, since I can log off to have dinner with my family and pick my work back up later in the evening
