I have over 15 years of experience in the Care Sector, but for the past 8 years I have been working as a Registered Care Home Manager. My primary duties have been dedicated to the receivers' of care, but also encompass observations, support and guidance to a team of over thirty staff members and volunteers. Working as a residential care manager, I have an appreciation for working professionals and have always conducted myself with dignity and decorum. As a Registered Manager I have always had an active role in monthly area compliance meetings, budget meetings and link in with other services to maintain the professional functioning of society within the care setting. In addition I also have experience in project management of self contained apartments so service users could gain and maintain independence. My background in learning disabilities, Challenging behaviors’ and mental health, utilizing the opportunity to work well in a team and embark on training relevant to my role. My management abilities demonstrate prioritization of heavy work load managing the support of service users and the activities that included them. I have great experience in ensuring that levels of support are managed and maintained with planned review dates. I achieve this by following dairy notes, planning ahead and implementing meetings where penetrating questions could be asked and answered by myself. I aim to work jointly with multi-disciplinary services and integrate with variable operational levels of support. I have experience liaising with a wide spectrum of multi disciplinary teams which has been in the capacity of both medical professions’ and directors, ensuring that best practices are shared.
