Responsible for planning finished goods and components for assigned product lines. Analyze forecast and material requirements to create work orders for finished goods and purchase requisitions for components using JD Edwards software. Run system reports to analyze potential barriers to schedule attainment and release work orders for production. Review daily the Low Days of Coverage and Out-of-Stock reports and act as necessary to ensure proper levels of coverage are maintained. Follow-up on component deliveries with buyers and expedite as necessary to minimize risk of delays and aid in finding solutions to insure schedule is met. Review and authorize BOM changes. Ensure engineering changes are phased in/out properly and work orders and purchase orders are controlled and released to minimize obsolescence and production interruptions.

Responsible for the import and domestic purchasing of Cosmetic Chemicals. Establish and maintain safety stock levels, inventory target setting, inventory reporting and dispositioning. Replenish inventory at warehouses from plants or outside vendors. Create, transmit, expedite and follow-up on purchase orders. Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely customs clearance and FDA approval of incoming shipments. Establish inventory targets based on the financial cash flow and customer service objectives of the business group. Recommend and pursue appropriate disposition of returned, damaged, aged and off-spec inventory with marketing/plant personnel. Monitor sales forecasts vs. actual sales and inventory levels for deviation from plan and develop corrective action. Generate and analyze monthly Supplier Performance KPIs. Coordinate and lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning meetings. Projects: Global Supplier Reliability–Order Management Team; Team Leader/Expert User for SAP R3 Import System; and Team Leader/Expert User for the SAP/APO implementation.Previous positions: Develop/maintain SAP R3 activity groups for the US companies. Assist in special projects such as changing user group information for all US users, deleting terminated/transferred employees, changing all warehouse/toller activity groups; transporting changes to BC2, BC1 and BC4 as required.Buyer for steel/plastic pails: created and modified SAP agreements and package specifications, resolved pricing and invoice discrepancies, interfaced with suppliers and site purchasing contacts, created usage reports from Database Warehouse. Processed requests from Business Groups for artwork of drum labels, sample labels and tags through outside supplier. Assisted packaging group as SAP R2 expert user.
