Role Overview: Lead and manage a team to deliver a high-quality, responsive safer communities service. Develop and drive a performance culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and personal responsibility.Key Responsibilities:• Support the council in complying with section 17 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.• Track and advise on legislative requirements related to Community Safety, Crime, and Disorder.• Design and deliver intelligence-led, outcomes-focused community safety programs.• Lead the Community Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Committee (CMARAC).• Manage and report on a grant-funded community safety program.• Collaborate with the Safer Hillingdon Partnership Board and other partners to review and agree on community safety priorities.People Management:• Lead strategic and operational development of Community Safety Programs.• Foster performance management culture and address performance shortfalls.• Manage change and implement new business processes.Customer Management:• Ensure effective delivery of statutory functions and provide expert advice on legislation.• Review crime and ASB intelligence to identify patterns and devise targeted programs.• Foster effective partnerships with Police, Probation, health services (ICB) MOPAC, London Fire Brigade and Voluntary Sector.• Manage multi-agency project teams to deliver grant-funded initiatives.• Ensure effective business planning and risk management.Service Planning and Development:• Maintain a workforce and succession plan.• Ensure contingency, risk management, and business continuity plans.Financial and Resource Planning:• Manage budget, including preparing annual commissioning plan and monitoring income streams.• Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing, procurement, and workforce expenditure guidelines.
