I have been working for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 23years. I started out as a Pharmacy Tech. then went back to school to study Information Technology, I am now an IT Specialist serving CMOP. My experience has been with the Automated Pharmacy Systems within the VA at the Charleston CMOP in Charleston,SC "Consolidated Mail OutPatient Pharmacy" (CMOP). Being the acting Lead IT Specialist for the Charleston CMOP where I stand in for the FCIO when ever needed. I was incharge of running report from Nessus, BigFix and SCCM to determine which system are needing remediation from missing security updates. Also configure ports for new workstation and port blocking. I was also the Active Directory Administrator , System Center Configuration System Administrator (SCCM) for pushing security updates,software changes and deploy new operating systems. Also work with our Field Program Office on Group Policies, POAM's and software testing. I would like to get more in depth of the security side of the business. I enjoy working with the software and can solve hardware problems as well. I perform repairs right on the work stations as much as possible. In 2019 I took a position at the Dallas CMOP as FCIO and have been in this position for two and a half years. I would like to find a position in security, so that I can build on the degree that I graduated with on December of 2013. I have a BS in Information Systems/Security Administration.
