Duties include: performing office support, clerical and secretarial duties. Intensive telephone and email communication with various types of individuals. Phone coverage for the State Health Officer’s Executive Assistant. Working closely with team members to ensure accurate and real time information is relayed to patients and health care providers. Coordinating communications to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Communicate professionally with members of the media, legislature and all Department of Health staff. Complete initial patient/provider application review and verification. Work closely with team members to efficiently process patient/provider information and applications. Having broad-based knowledge and skills in the use of word processing software, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail and the Internet. Complete record series requests, organize record retention and create/design state forms.
