Overseeing NIAC and NIAC Action's national grassroots organizing program. Working to organize the Iranian-American community to advance peace, civil rights, and human rights. Responsibilities include:- Building and managing 13 volunteer chapters, including the recruitment and development of volunteer leaders- Managing grassroots partnerships with coalition partners, including organizing letter campaigns, protests, lobby weeks and Hill days, petition drops, weeks of action, and more.- Oversight of NIAC Academies’ Fellowship and Civic Engagement Training programs, which includes managing NIAC's Congressional and Organizing Fellowship programs and running six civic trainings.- Oversight of NIAC’s “Beshkan the Vote” voter outreach program and NIAC Action’s 2018, 2020, and 2022 partisan electoral field work. - Oversight of NIAC Action's grassroots lobby program, which included organizing hundreds of lobby meetings arranged between Members of Congress or their staff and members of the Iranian-American community.- Assisted in the launch of NIAC Action PAC. Responsible for recruiting volunteer fundraisers who raised money within their local Iranian-American communities and organized fundraising events.- Acting Focal Point for NIAC’s participation in Gender Champions in Nuclear Policy, which includes developing and overseeing the completion of at least three equity pledges per year.

Worked to represent and mobilize the Iranian American community in Northern California through grassroots organizing.

Working with the Peoples Climate Movement.Ran a 1 month canvass offices, hiring 30 temporary canvassers to knock on over 17,000 doors in Washington DC to turn people out for the March for Climate, Jobs, and Justice.

Working on Climate Reality Project Campus Corps 100% Committed Campaign- Recruited a team of volunteers and interns to work on a campaign to get Penn State to switch to 100% renewable electricity by 2030 (100% Committed Campaign).- Meet frequently with key faculty (ex: climate scientists), student group leaders, and administrators to have them sign on in support of the campaign.- To date collected about student 6400 petition signatures. Collected a little over 3000 of those in a 4-day drive. - Assistant Directed a team of 8 organizers to mobilize student climate voters in Miami to vote for Hillary Clinton, Patrick Murphy, and No on Amendment 1.

- Recruited, trained, and managed a team of canvassers to raise money and sign on members. - Met with staff weekly to deepen campaign and leadership skills and enforce standards.- Experience managing foundations, such as payroll, budgets, and daily/weekly results tracking- Fundraised over $155,000 for Environment Connecticut and ConnPIRG over the course of 3.5 months.- Directly overseeing a management team of 1 Assistant Director and 3 Field Managers. - Personally raising an average of over $360 per canvass night.- Have previously worked with the Fund as a Field Manager in 2011 (Berkeley, CA), Assistant Director in 2014 (Santa Cruz, CA), and Canvass Director in 2015 (New Haven, CT)

- Recruit and train a team of students to work on public interest campaigns.- Develop a core leadership team of 5-8 students to run campaigns and organize their own team of coordinators and volunteers.- Build relationships with campus VIPs, such as administrators, faculty, and student group leaders, to build support for the organization and their campaigns.- Campaign victories: o Registered 1400 UConn students to vote in the 2014 election o Started an open textbook program at UConn. o Passed statewide legislation to promote open textbooks in CT. o Passed first Student Bill of Rights in the country. o Convinced McDonald’s and Subway to serve meat raised without routine antibiotics. o Defended CT’s public financing program.

Student Organizer – Campaign Coordinator, Chapter Board Member, Chapter Chair, State Executive Board Member, State Executive Board Chair- Created a 3-year plan for CALPIRG Students and facilitated decision making on the state budget and campaign priorities.- Ran 9 recruitment drives and trained a team of volunteers and coordinators to hit campaign and tactical goals. - Ran funding drives to keep 10% of UC Davis undergrads pledging to pay a CALPIRG Student Activities Fee.- Built relationships with campus and community organizations.- Built visibility and name recognition for the campaigns and organization.- Advocated on the behalf of UC students in Davis and Sacramento.- Major Campaign Victories: o Ban the Bag: Successfully banned plastic bags in Davis, CA. o New Voters Project: Registered 4,400 Davis students to vote in the 2012 election. o Million Clean Cars: Passed legislation that makes clean cars easier for Californians to afford. o Energy Service Corps: Conducted energy efficiency weatherization projects and educated K-12 students on energy efficiency.
