Donna Givens has been President of Givens&Associates for 20 years. She provides strategic direction and marketing advice to companies providing health and human services solutions to Federal and state govemment and the private sector. Ms. Givens has coached senior executives on effective sales and marketing techniques. She has helped clients assess the feasibility of entry into the healthcare market and identify emerging markets in the health and human service industry. Ms. Givens has created partnerships and developed solutions to a variety of challenges in the field of health and human services. She has designed and implemented a wide range of initiatives which involved building coalitions with diverse groups of individuals. For instance, she reached consensus on healthcare reform among a disparate group of health policy experts.

Ms. Givens was the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Children and Families(ACF) at the U.S. department of Health and Human Services(HHS), managing 65 programs designed to assist children and families with a budget of $27 billion. During her tenure Ms. Givens developed alliances with other operating divisions within HHS and other Federal agenices which enhanced ACF's ability to achieve program goals and outcomes. Ms. Givens developed and implemented a national child abuse and neglect awareness campaign; led a task force which reached agreement on goals and objectives for Federal disability programs; negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Israel and the United States; and developed international relief efforts to help disabled children in Romania and HIV/AIDS orphans in Uganda.
