Miss Spenser's is an English Tea Room located in the beautiful, rolling hills of Southern Iowa. We are just 35 minutes South of the urban lights of Des Moines. We feature four-course teas served on lovely 3 tiered trays and serve only the finest, whole leaf teas. Join us for one of our special events wherein we incorporate historical drama. Some of the events we have held in the past are: Tea Time on the Titanic; An Irish Country Farmhouse Tea; Beatrix Potter & Friends; Anne of Green Gables and many more.We write and produce our own programs making them unique and one-of-a-kind.An additional venue for Miss Spenser's is our newly constructed carriage house bed and breakfast suites. Was the Director of a National Organization, The Ladies Tea Guild, from October 2005 until October 2007, when it dissolved. I continued the society on in my own capacity and went on to open my own tea room afterwards.

Performed legal work for the corporate law firm of Briggs & Alexander who was primarily Big O'Tire's Corporate Attorney. Performed all aspects of corporate documents, along with general bookkeeping for the firm.

Self employed - Direct Sales with the Pampered Chef Company. Was a Director with several underneath me. Presented kitchen demonstrations and training of others.

Executive Secretary to the President of the American Heart Association. Performed all administrative and clerical functions. Heavy telephone and public contact.

Performed all legal and paralegal work for Iowa City office. Assisted in preparation of pleadings, correspondence, synopsized depositions. This position required high contact with the public.

Department of Pediatrics - Supervised to secretaries; performed all secretarial duties. High volume of typing medical commentaries, editorials, studies and general correspondence. Reconciled four grant accounts; prepared monthly cash flow reports.College of Medicine Administration - liason and contact person for 22 departments. Assisted in personnel areas, payroll and general policies of the College of Medicine. Took minutes at meetings, reviewed various personnel/payroll forms. Also assisted with the construction process of the HBR Facility and various renovation projects, scheduled meetings, phone work, correspondence, filing. High public contact.

Cedar Rapids Office - Worked for two litigation attorneys. This position also required high public contact.

Worked for two corporate attorneys; duties included typing of legal documents, title opinions, corporate minutes, annual reports, general correspondence and phone work.
