Providing support and assistance to the Hospitality Business Unit. Responsible for supporting the staff development, supporting performance management, contractual management and verification and quality assurance activities.

I joined Cambrian 2 years ago after a break in my career after having my daughter. I work in the Hospitality team delivering Apprenticeships in a wide range of businesses across Wales, from Level 2 to Level 4. I have recently completed my LIQA Level 4 so that I can support the Quality assurance process here at Cambrian Training.Aswell as delivering Apprenticeships I also handle referrals from a partner in England where they have businesses with sites/stores in Wales. I liaise with the Business units at Cambrian to deliver these Apprenticeships.My role involves interacting with all departments within the Company and also external stakeholders, building excellent working relationships.

The Culinary Association of Wales has appointed a National Sustainability Champion to take forward Worldchefs initiatives across Wales to inspire sustainable food consumption.My role is to promote and implement the Worldchefs Feed the Planet programmes, which include the Food Heroes Challenge, Food Waste Challenge and the Sustainability Curriculum.Feed the Planet aims to inspire sustainable food consumption among communities and professionals and to support people in need through emergency relief, food poverty alleviation and education. Founded by Worldchefs, the initiative is run in partnership with Electrolux and AIESEC.Worldchefs is promoting the programmes because one third of the food produced around the world currently goes to waste while 800 million people go to bed hungry. The Food Heroes Challenge is a chef-driven education project for children. Using a toolkit developed through the UNICEF sustainability initiative, World’s Largest Lesson, schoolchildren, aged between eight and 12, are taught sustainable eating habits.The initiative is designed to help inspire the next generation to eat sustainably. The70-minute workshop includes activities, videos, workbook materials and a Food Hero award.The Food Waste Challenge is designed to help businesses identify how they can reduce their food waste and set targets to work toward

I worked part time in this busy cafe after having my daughter. I was responsible for staff training, rotas and ordering resources. In the kitchen we prepared home made food, following food safety guidelines and completing the safer food better business principles. We provided food for events such as funerals and christenings aswell as catering at local shows and carnivals.

I started work at Shop Direct in August 2003 after travelling and working in Australia for a year. I joined as a customer service adviser before progressing to Customer retention team member. I was awarded Contact centre adviser of the year in 2009.Later with Shop Direct I worked as a Learning & Development trainer, delivering Induction and upskill training to Contact centre staff. Within the team we were responsible for planning, developing and delivering training to the contact centre staff and management team on both process and soft skills such as Sales and Customer service.I also worked as a Designate Team manager, covering team managers holidays, sickness and secondment periods. This involved handling escalated customer complaints, reviewing team and individual performance, conducting team meetings and performance reviews. I was involved in recruitment and interviewing candidates at assessment centres.
