My role with Commonwealth Bank as a Business Development Manager allows me to engage with new and existing clients for the Bank.I provide specialist advice to clients, where capital assets play a critical role in generating revenue (e.g. production machinery, mining equipment or fleet). I also advise on the financing of strategic assets, including structuring solutions to minimise capital outlay, align payments to income generation.• I understand different asset types and the role they play in generating revenue for our clients • I review how clients are banking with CBA and identifies opportunities for either gaining or building on existing asset finance business (e.g. identifying clients with split banking to other banks)Customer Service & Advocacy • I discuss with clients the value of asset finance either through face-to-face meetings or in correspondence. • I attend to the client’s needs when contacted about purchasing assets, working to resolve issues in conjunction with risk teams, product/operations teams, and bankers• I keep up-to-date of developments in competing products and client trends, related to pricing, tax implications, terms, and structure of loansPartnership• I sell benefits of products and campaigns internally, looking to grow the total relationship held with the client. Will involve EquiGroup or SGFleet when appropriate• When sales opportunities are identified, I ensure that information is passed onto bankers or other specialists.
