Since 2004, I have managed the Government Relations Program for NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. In this role, I am responsible for developing and implementing strategies to communicate NASA's and Langley’s mission and programs to Congress, government officials and high-level industry partners. I currently report directly to the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. I also provide direct support to the Center Director of NASA Langley Research Center and serve on the leadership team for the Center’s Office of Strategic Analysis, Communications and Business Development.I serve as the primary interface between Langley and the district offices for Virginia’s Congressional Delegation. I also serve as the primary liaison with officials from federal, state, regional, county and local governments. I advise Center Leadership on legislative matters and accompany the Center Director during meetings and visits with elected officials. I recommend innovative approaches for increasing visibility and advocacy for the Center as well as resolving problems and reducing conflicts. I represent the Center in briefings and high-level meetings, respond to Congressional inquiries, and prepare communications to inform Congress, key staff members, and elected officials about the value of NASA and Langley. I also review and analyze proposed legislation to determine potential impact on LaRC and assess need for Center action.I formed and continue to lead AeroSpace Days at the Virginia General Assembly, an annual event where for the past eight years, NASA partners with industry, academia and other government agencies to increase advocacy for NASA and aerospace with local and state leaders. The event includes committee meetings, hearings, legislative receptions and press conferences.

NASA Langley Liaison to the VA Air & Space Center: Work closely with museum management and board members to ensure museum’s continued success and visibility in the community and serve as key member of technical advisory group for the museum's capital campaign, exhibit development and strategic planning.

NASA Langley lead for major aerospace enterprise advocacy activities andindustry events. Partnered with industry and other government agencies to communicate programmilestones and impacts of policy to a wide and diverse audience of high-level industry decisionand policy makers. Received NASA Administrator’s and Superior Accomplishment Awards.

Managed public services regional and national outreach programs and coordinatedlogistics for both the Agency and the Center resulting in major innovations and improvements toNASA’s outreach efforts. Received NASA Honor Award Exceptional Service Medal andnumerous Superior Accomplishment Awards.

Developed electronic information specialty and oversaw electronic publications projects for NASA’s technical editing branch. Served as project manager for the electronicannual Research Highlights, WWW server administrator for division, and leader for the on-line editing team. Performed substantive edit on NASA research papers.
