My primary role is to develop a partnership approach with local and national organisations to support the continued growth of the Sporting Memories club network across Scotland. As part of the senior management team, I work to deliver the strategic aims of the charity with the aim of ensuring older people remain connected within their communities, with improved wellbeing and living longer independent lives.Using my passion for sport and making a difference I like to adopt a personable approach with partners, the wider staff team, our volunteers and members. It gives me huge satisfaction to see my work have impact and I strive for this in every role I take on.My work involves identifying partnerships, funding opportunities, and working with stakeholders to deliver projects at a local and national level. These can often be complex projects working with multiple stakeholders in a wide variety of communities across Scotland. I provide leadership and support to the Scotland staff team, supporting local conversations and projects, identifying funding, and linking with community networks. I love visiting our community clubs and seeing the impact of our work on members and their families. It gives me huge determination to continue seeking out opportunities to ensure there is a Sporting Memories club in every community across Scotland!

As a senior member of the Rewards team I support the development, management and implementation of the Young Scot Rewards programme. My primary role is to secure agreements and maintain relationships with new and existing partners, projects and initiatives across Scotland in order to deliver a programme of information and rewards for over 100,000 young people creating opportunities across different sectors like sport, culture and education. As well as creating content it also heavily involves working with the Communications team to support the delivery of Young Scot’s information in relation to Rewards and ensure the website and social media is kept up to date and accurate with new and exciting opportunities. I also provide support on other projects, primarily the annual Young Scot Awards and 2018 Year of Young People.

As a member of the Business Services team I was responsible for leading the implementation, execution and production of an annual programme of events from proposal through to delivery. Projects vary from conferences of up to 400 delegates, to coordinating the design and content of the company annual report. Working with and coordinating colleagues and clients is key to the success of this role so that projects were delivered on time and within budget so to meet the high expectations of the client and the business. I was also part of the team driving the staff health and well being at work initiative.

To ensure that all events in my portfolio contributed to and supported the EventScotland strategic plan 'Scotland the Perfect Stage'. It was my role to provide strategic advice and support to event organisers throughout the life of a project to maximise its success and return of investment. This was done through conducting assessments on the viability of event applications and proposals, reviewing business plans, budgets and marketing strategies. Would also attend supported events in order to provide feedback to event organisers on successes, development opportunities and growth.

To lead and support the events strand of the Bowls Scotland national strategy through the implementation and delivery of a calendar of events of various sizes and composition. I had a lead operational role with the support of a team of volunteers to deliver national and international events in Scotland to a professional standard - including large participation events, business meetings and conferences. I had additional responsibility for coordinating event marketing and social media with support from colleagues, whilst managing budgets and admin.

My primary aim was to motivate and inspire young people to participate in sport and physical activity; working to increase activity levels by ensuring there were more and higher quality opportunities to participate in sport, before, during and after school and enabling the creation of pathways from schools to the wider community. Key responsibilities include:➢ Research, development, implementation and management of an extra – curricular programme delivered through schools and local community clubs. Creating activity opportunities for over 2500 pupils and their families.➢ Drive key partnerships to deliver school based, local community and citywide events/festivals and competitions to an exceptional standard.➢ Manage and administer budgets of up to £150k, whilst working with partners to obtain additional funding and write budget reports.➢ Analyse and evaluate participation data; assess viability of setting up new club links; design and coordinate resulting activity programmes.➢ Facilitate partnerships between schools and local agencies to recruit, retain and develop a network of volunteers who deliver opportunities in school and community sport..
