Donna has an extensive background in teaching, research and educational leadership, encompassing school-based education and higher education.Donna is currently the Leader of Teaching and Learning at La Salle Academy, Lithgow. This is a Catholic co-educational secondary school, located in the Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst. In this role Donna is responsible for the coordination of curriculum and the continued development of effective teaching and learning. She is also actively involved in classroom teaching.Donna's research has addressed art education, teaching practice and teaching and learning in public spaces. She has utilised a range of research methodologies and has an interest in participatory and alternative approaches to research and ways of knowing. Expertise in this area is evidenced in a number of innovative, award-winning collaborative projects. Donna's work is published in a number of highly ranked journals and internationally significant books and she has presented extensively in national and international forums.Donna's research informs her approach to teaching & learning, providing a foundational focus on the practice of teaching in relation to theory. She has particular expertise in online teaching and learning, distance education and arts curriculum and pedagogy.
