Provided financial policy and procedural advice to the Chief Finance Officer, DirectorBudgets and Finance, and other senior staff. Played a key role in the development, implementationand monitoring of financial policy documents, designed to meet the needs of stakeholders,including the Department of Health, Top End Health Service and Central Australia Health Service(NT Health Portfolio).

- Undertook analysis of budgetary and financial performance including the on-going monitoring, reviewing and reporting of financial activities for business units;- Provided advice and training to business units to allow them to use financial data and analysis information effectively; - Assisted in the development and monitoring of the Department's annual budget and forward estimates, including monitoring and implementation of key budgetary elements within budget timeframes;- Contributed to financial management requirements of the Northern Territory budgetary cycle, including responses to Department of Treasury and Finance circular exercises, the Annual Report and the Estimates Committee Hearing; - Contributed to and prepared complex reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on a range of financial management and budget issues; - Contributed to the preparation of budgetary guidelines, timetables and other budget communications to internal clients; - Liaised, consulted and provided high level advice and assistance to a range of clients on budget related issues; - Reviewed systems, procedures and processes related to accounting, budgetary and associated financial functions and contributed to continuous improvement and development of performance indicators.

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for a variety of entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships and sole-traders;- Management and maintenance of art registers for clients and the firm; - Preparation and lodgement of business activity statements, instalment activity statements, and PAYG instalments;- Provision of bookkeeping assistance, including MYOB training, payroll processing, bank account reconciliations, general data entry and other associated duties; - Preparation and analysis of Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets;- Preparation of budgets, including cash flow budgets and budget versus actuals variance analysis; - Audit of Grant acquittals, end of financial year reports, legal and real estate agent trust accounts, and self-managed super funds.

- Manage the accounts function for the entity and group of related entities, including payroll processing, preparation and lodgement of payroll tax, PAYG Withholding, PAYG instalments and GST, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivables; - Assist with the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for the entity and related group of entities; - Debt collection; - Maintain integrity of the firm's trust account; - Maintain office system in line with ISO9001:2000 requirements; - Assist company clients in meeting their statutory requirements with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

- Process and maintain financial accounts, assist with processing of annual BAS and PAYG statements; - Coordinate training timetable, process enrolments, prepare training materials and participant handouts; - Maintain training records; - Issue Statements of Attainment.
