I am a proofreader and book reviewer with experience in different genres. During my eclectic career, I have held posts in academia, public service, retail, business, diplomacy, and human relations. I am currently looking for remote work as a proofreader or copy editor. During my experience as a book reviewer, I have developed a strong understanding of the necessary skills to write engaging and thoughtful reviews, and as a proofreader to submit error-free manuscripts. I have a deep understanding of literature, I am enthusiastic about the written word, and I am a voracious reader.For my BA degree (with French and Italian as majors) I studied Psychology, Sociology, English, and Legal Theory and Institutions. I later completed a Psychology major and completed a course in Private Law. I hold a Master’s degree in French (language and literature) and a TEFL certificate which enables me to teach English as a second language.My generalist career exposed me to different disciplines, different companies, and different industries, thus providing me with a wide range of transferable skills and contributing to my success.As a freelancer I am organised, industrious, meticulous, and focused. I have, for example, proofread edit notes and general notes, written bibliographies, and edited a thesis and general texts. I am comfortable working within tight deadlines and can provide reviews in a timely manner.
