• Provide consulting services to Operations team in areas of Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement – includes analysis of systems within each State and specific issues (ancillary reviews, CMI and Level of Care analysis, trending and tracking of statistical information, etc.)• Inform and strategize with Finance and Operational team in areas related to the present and future of the reimbursement systems• Collaborate with the Corporate Reimbursement Team on various issues (audits, special requests, monthly accruals of Routine Medicaid Rates and Supplemental Revenues where applicable)• Develop Annual Medicaid, Managed Medicaid and Medicare Revenue Budgets in concert with the Corporate Reimbursement, Finance and Operational Teams.• Responsible for the projection of the Medicaid Rates throughout the year and the reporting of ongoing issues to Division and District Leadership• Complete numerous ad hoc reports from the State and State Associations as needed.• Train team members on the specific Medicaid systems – involves orientation, basic training on Reimbursement Principles within a given State program, extensive work in the area of training on the Medicaid CMI systems and how to understand what the trending information reveals.• Provide expertise to other members of the Operational team in regards to their disciplines and the impact on Medicaid and Medicare Reimbursement.• Work closely with the VP of Government Relations to monitor and act on Legislative and State Governmental actions impacting Payment and Regulations relating to Nursing Centers as well as serving on State Association Payment/Legislative Committees.• Work closely with District Operations and facilities on the various Quality Incentive programs available – California, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado, Massachusetts, Texas – provide information on the programs, work with team to educate on requirements of programs, timing of submission requirements, submitting data to States, etc.

• In addition to the responsibilities of Regional Manager of Operational Reimbursement for Central Region, I took on responsibility as Financial Analyst for the Tennessee District from July, 2007 to October, 2011. This included preparing a variety of analysis on all aspects of the financial operations of the 8 Tennessee Skilled Nursing Centers within the District.

• Responsible for all aspects of the Completion of Cost Reports, Audits, Rate Setting, Budgeting for Medicare and Medicaid Programs• Oversaw a Department of Reimbursement Managers, Reimbursement Accountants and Clerical Staff• In 1995, Corporate Office moved from Milwaukee, WI to Atlanta, GA. I transitioned from one staff in Wisconsin to a new, fully functioning team in Atlanta with no missed deadlines in that process.

• Was hired into the newly created Reimbursement Department as an Accountant’s Assistant and left as Manager of Cost Reporting.• Prepared and managed the preparation of the Medicaid and Medicare Cost Reports for Multi State corporation. This also included audits, rate-setting – accruals, budgeting, education of facility management on Reimbursement Issues, etc.• Included in responsibilities as manager of a team of accountants and clerical staff. • Worked with IS programmers (in-house and consultants) to create Medicare Reimbursement components of the AR system • Was the Network Administrator for the Reimbursement Department’s Network
