Production Controller for Inmate factory operations. 325 inmates producing Army PFU jackets, ammo pouches, canteen covers. Implementation of SAP computer technology. Assisted with the ISO9000 compliance for the quality requlations. Trained in Government Procurement and Purchasing.Establishes plans, schedules, and controls the production demand for on time delivery. Provides status of production order, quality issues, and DOD quality inspections in progress. Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Makes on-the-spot adjustments to insure priorities on routine or reoccurring processes necessitated by unscheduled security requirements. Studies directives, modification work orders, and regulations as to their application in the production line. Assists supervisory personnel in determining impact of these requirements on inmate capability. Authorizes the acceptance of work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions; and provides status of raw goods. Based on guidance received from the Associate Warden of Industries, prioritizes resources to ensure the highest level of readiness in support of training and mobilization requirements of product orders. Analyzes inmates security risks and determines best placement on production line. Recommends control procedures to ensure that security of inmates meet priorities and production deadlines established by higher authority or support activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
