Coordinated and prepared the division's communications of oral and written responses for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Privacy Act (PA) requests, congressional inquiries, and Chairman Referrals.Displayed a high level of technical competence by conducting adequate records research and analysis of financial data from bank closings to include in-case processing of FOIA/PA requests for the division.Made recommendations to any compromises and needed changes as to the release of information by applying established standards and past precedents; prepared responses consistent with established policies, amendments, and procedures to FOIA and PA requests for signature by the Director and the division. While utilizing FOIAXpress, tracked and responded to FOIA requests by conducting necessary records searches, correctly applied FOIA exemptions, and facilitated timely responses. Coordinated and discussed responses with Regional and Field Operation sites as necessary; and maintains and tracks the division's automated records system.Reviewed and redacted over 3960 pages of documents related to FOIA requests and bid summaries; ensured 38 bid summaries were complete prior to posting to the DRR website.Responded to additional FOIA inquiries regarding resolutions and receivership's, creditor and depositor claims, and employee matters. Received, assigned, monitored, and performed all administrative functions relating to responses to congressional inquiries received from the Office of Legislative Affairs.Assisted in the processing of 11 Chairman Requests, 72 congressional inquiries, 12 media inquiries, and 5 other inquiries. Successfully completed accurate data entries for all FOIA requests and congressional inquiries into the FDIC Corporate Tracking System (FACTS) database; ensuring a definite completion of tracking and upload of all required correspondence and research materials.
