Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center offers trade programs to students from ten sending school districts in central Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. As a Workforce Education Coordinator, I serve as a liaison between CWCTC and students' home schools, providing support to those students with IEP and 504 plans. I also provide pre-employment courses to students as they prepare to transition from high school to the workforce post-graduation as well as help students with job shadowing and co-op experiences to better prepare them for the workforce.

• Educated adult English language learners at all levels - English language acquisition and workforce development.• Concentration in vocabulary acquisition, inferring, grammar, and career readiness in preparation for the CASAS exam (Comprehension Adult Student Assessment System).• Started as part time for night classes, then transferred to a full-time role in 2019.

• Experience with grades 6-8• Taught reading instruction to improve FSA reading scores o Differentiated whole and small group instruction. o Implemented unique techniques and activities to increase interest in reading and improve comprehension skills. o Cross-Curricular Collaboration - Collaborated with other core content area teachers to maximize student achievement across all subjects.
