CurrentAs Assistant Director and Technical Services Librarian, I am responsible for all aspects of Technical Services, from Interlibrary Loan to collection development and cataloging library materials in all formats. I also am responsible for developing and implementing policies for electronic collections and designing, writing, and maintaining the Libguides portion of the library website. I have written Libguides/subject collection guides for the following areas: Business, Education, Nursing, Science, Social Sciences, History, Fine Arts, Literature, Religious Studies, and, most recently, a COVID-19 centric guide for students to use during the quarantine. I conduct bibliographic instruction on the use of electronic resources for students and media literacy classes. I have also held faculty workshops on copyright and fair use assessment in online/LMS environments. I hold Alabama Class A Teaching certification, Secondary Education, Language Arts for 6-12 grades, and recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Digital Curation focused in New Media from The University of Maine. I am currently considering additional course work towards a Master's in Museum Studies with a second Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and Technology via Harvard Extension Studies. I also hold an Alabama Class A Teaching Certificate in the field of Language Arts, Grades 6-12. My supervisory responsibilities include directly supervising all library staff in the absence of the Director of the Library.
