● Support management and senior leaders in the delivery of strategic HR initiatives.● Consult with and advise senior leadership and management in areas such as employee and labour relations, performance management, accommodation and return to work, attendance support, organizational design and development, job classification, and talent acquisition. ● Lead and support management in the investigation, mediation and resolution of a variety of HR issues, including sensitive and complex employee relations matters.● Support and actively participate in the implementation of initiatives such as workforce metrics, engagement and culture surveys and the implementation of a new job evaluation tool.● Lead and support departmental leaders through strategic redesign, workforce planning and analysis and succession planning initiatives.● Interpret and advise on the application of employment related legislation and collective agreement terms and conditions.

● Support client ministries in the delivery of human resource strategies, initiatives, and processes.● Consult with and advise senior leadership and management in areas such as employee and labour relations, performance management, job classification, organizational design and development, integrated health, safety and wellness, talent acquisition, compensation, professional development, and the application of the CBA, policies and procedures. ● Partner with other HR Business Partners, Centre’s of Excellence, the HR Service Centre, and union representatives to ensure that HR service needs are proactively identified, collaboratively addressed and that workplace issues are effectively supported. ● Support and participate in the implementation of initiatives and project work such as reporting on workforce metrics, engagement and culture surveys, and planning for success calibrations.● Active member of the PSC’s Occupational Health and Safety Committee and the Ministries Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Union Management Committee, and Culture Committee.

● Consult with and advise senior leadership and management in areas such as employee relations, performance management, the application of policies and procedures, talent acquisition, training and development, and compensation. ● Conduct thorough employment-related internal investigations, provide expertise to management to resolve employee relations issues, and make recommendations on the appropriate course of action.● Develop and update HR policies and procedures and present to the executive team for approval.● Provide training to management in areas of expertise.● Develop and maintain agency job descriptions based on job evaluation results and other sources. ● Key member of the total compensation project and enterprise system configuration project.
