Promoted to Shift Leader 1/4/2015. In addition to the dispatcher duties below, I now supervise my shift, approve time off, update schedule, assist in training, assist in evaluations. In addition, I work as part of an effective team to provide public safety emergency communications. I receive 9-1-1 telephone calls from citizens seeking assistance; gather information and initiate the appropriate response. Prioritize telephone calls and radio communications from the public and emergency service agencies concerning emergency and non-emergency situations. Record and update information in the computer aided dispatch (CAD) system; relay information to appropriate agencies and individuals. Make referrals to other community resources. Monitor radio frequencies and communicate on two-way radio; dispatch and coordinate activities of emergency service fire, medical or law enforcement agencies. Receive training and certification in CPR and EMD ( Emergency Medical Dispatch); provide instruction in first aid to callers, prior to arrival of first responders. I assist in training new employees; performs routine equipment checks; maintain and update paper and electronic records and resources. Receive training and certification in law enforcement telecommunication systems, CJIN/NCIC. I assist with group tours, school presentations or other public relations events. I perform related work as required or directed.

Maintained a list of people for jury pools, drafted jury summons and sent them out, tracked jury summons, made calls to potential jurors and current jurors, took care of jury. Judicial aide for 2 Justice Court Judges, Court Reporting from within court proceedings. Answered phones. Assisted walk ins, accepted money and reconciled till at the end of the day. Data entry into our court computer system called Full Court.

911 dispatcher. Answered 911 lines and non emergency lines. Dispatched appropriate agencies. Tracked units on the street through a computer aided dispatch system. Member of CISM team (critical incident stress management team). Data entry. Entry of warrants, restraining orders, missing persons, stolen vehicles and other misc into TLETS/NCIC. Confirmation of Warrants and Wanted Persons/Items and cancellation of same.
