As the Assistant Administrator and Director of Education at Dermatology Associates of San Antonio, I oversee the training and implementation of Nextgen Practice Management and EHR for the largest dermatology practice in South Texas. I have successfully attested and secured payment for 16 doctors under the Quality Payment Program and the Merit-based Incentive Payment System, demonstrating my deep knowledge and compliance with the latest regulations and standards in the healthcare industry.I have more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, working in various roles and environments, from office manager to marketing director. I have developed and implemented a training department within the practice to train all new and existing staff, physicians, and employees on the best practices and procedures for clinical and billing workflow, patient portal, e-prescribing, document management, and reporting. I am also responsible for HIPAA privacy and security training for the entire practice, which consists of three locations and over 120 employees.
