Released in July 2020 - Solo in Salento - A Memoir Mississippi University for Women is my alma mater, graduating cum laude with a double major in Psychology and Social Sciences with graduate studies in Theology. Prior to becoming an author I worked in senior management for the insurance and transportation industries. Then I entered the private sector by purchasing and operating a hospitality business. After selling the business, I wrote articles for local magazines. I'm currently a volunteer at the Pat Conroy Literary Center and Hunting Island. I've traveled extensively, but always find myself returning to Italy. Eventually my love of all things Italian led to writingSolo in Salento. It's my story of living in Italy for a short period of time. It includes exploration, culinary delights, history, sacred places, classes in mosaics, struggles with the recycling system and the sheer bliss of traveling solo.
