About Donna Downs

My mission is to be a godly and compassionate teacher, learner, giver, encourager, and lover of others. As a writer, I seek to tell stories and influence others to do the same. Writing about real life illuminates emotions often forgotten or hidden in the recesses of our minds. Each phase of life teaches lessons, and as we age, we can learn from the narratives of others. My goal is to touch hearts and inspire people to tell their stories so generations to come will understand the value of relationship and seek to create memories worth sharing.

Our publications existed of a quarterly alumni magazine, the official Web site, and a bi-monthly employee newsletter. We created and sent press releases, worked with the media, took photographs for campus publications, arranged and attended to summer conferences, and oversaw many special events. We also managed crisis communication and served as friend-raisers for the university. I led a staff of six contract employees, three full-time secretaries and one part time secretary.
