Responsible for leading an engaged, positive culture by developing, leading and delivering strategic HR functions to the organization with this hands-on role for a non-profit institution in both a union and non-union environment. Manages recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, employee relations, labor relations, performance management, compensation , benefits, payroll/HRIS system, and HR compliance. Provides valued HR expertise, partnership and guidance to management and administrative staff, full-time musicians (union), replacement musicians (union), stagehands (union), Powell Hall front of house staff including seasonal bartenders, ushers, and interns. Responsible for compliance and administration of all benefit plans including frozen defined benefit plan, two 401(a) defined contribution plans along with a 403(b) plan. Navigates broker and union committees for evaluation, selection and renewal of all benefit programs including LTD, life, medical, supplemental medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending plans. A trusted member of the Executive Management Team, 401(a) Investment Committee, Pension Committee and various union committees. Researched, selected and implemented Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Implemented and managed HRIS/Payroll conversion from Ceridian to Paylocity. Managed successful RFP broker process resulting in significant savings. Supervises one HR staff member.

Business partner activities including all aspects of employee relations, full-cycle recruiting and employee development. Strategic business partner, coach, and mentor to various business lines including wealth management, commercial lending, commercial real estate, business banking, retail banking, etc. Worked closely with business partners to enhance employee engagement. Served as a Diversity council leader. Prior to merge with M&I, served in a HR Generalist in a Vice President capacity managing a staff of 4 FTE's responsible for development, design and administration of all employee benefits including defined benefit and defined contribution plans, along with all health and welfare plans. Managed all aspects of payroll, HRIS, policcy and procedure development, staffing, onboarding, communications, organizational learning, etc.
