This prestigious harp competition is the only International Harp Competition held in the United States.Donna also served as the National Chair of the Indiana University Alumni Association’s Board of Managers, two terms on the IUAA Executive Council, she is a lifetime member of the Indiana University Alumni Association, past Chair and Co-chair of the Colloquium for the Women of Indiana University, Founding member of the Women’s Philanthrophy Leadership Council, Founding member of IU Athletics Women’s Excellence, Chair of the Woodburn Guild and the Jacob’s School of Music Society of the Friend’s of Music Board.Spears loves community engagement and volunteer service and has received several awards to include The Indiana University Bicentennial Medal, Indiana University East Chancellor’s Medallion, Indiana University Alumni Association’s Gertrude Rich Award ,Pam Frantz Community Service Award and most recently the I-Association President’s Award.As an active member in her community, she served on the Richmond Art Museum Board , the Wayne County Boy’s and Girl’s Club Board , the Richmond Symphony Orchestra Board, Wayne County Economic Development Corporation, the Wayne County Health Board and Girl’s Inc Board of Wayne.
