Healthcare Surveyor
CurrentMy primary duty is to conduct surveys on behalf of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). These surveys aim to evaluate ambulatory surgery centers' compliance with AAAHC and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards. In this role, I am credentialed to perform Medicare Deemed Status Surveys, which involve assessing centers' adherence to Medicare requirements. I serve as the Survey Chairperson, responsible for overseeing and leading the survey process. My duties include conducting thorough evaluations, analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to help centers improve their compliance with AAAHC and CMS standards. My expertise and attention to detail play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of ambulatory healthcare centers.• Conduct comprehensive on-site inspections and evaluations of ambulatory health care centers.• Evaluate and verify adherence to AAAHC and CMS regulations, policies, and procedures.• Assess the quality and safety of patient care provided by ambulatory surgery centers.• Review medical records, documentation, and policies to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.• Interview staff members, physicians, and administrators to gather information and assess their understanding of standards and procedures.• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, observations, and recommendations for improvement.• Provide guidance and education to ambulatory surgery centers on achieving and maintaining compliance.• Serve as a Survey Chairperson, leading survey teams and coordinating survey activities.• Collaborate with other surveyors and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency and accuracy in survey processes.• Stay updated on changes in AAAHC and CMS standards and regulations to ensure surveys reflect the latest requirements.• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance surveying skills and knowledge.
