Donna Duffy is a Director @ Human Engineered | Human Factors Engineering Consultant at Human Engineered. Colleagues describe her as "Donna was always one of my favorite people to "hang out with" online...we worked together at Boeing at the same time in the same capacity albeit on different continents. She and I served on a Human Engineering (HE) Technical Board and a handful of us represented our field as technical leaders (associate technical fellows) across the Boeing Company. At the time, we were primarily responsible for authoring design practices for our board, in other words, capture tribal knowledge and the "how we do the things we do" in our respective areas. We also worked on overarching strategies for further improving and embedding HE within the company and continuous improvement of best practices. Her work / deliverables were always on time, often "before on time" ie. early, and she was always proactive. She is a gold star! I volunteered each and every time her team had something to review. She knows her stuff AND gets the job done AND is a joy to work with. I am looking forward to what she does next and wish her all the best, hopefully physically crossing paths one day!" and "I had the pleasure of working with Donna over many years, as we were both part of the Boeing Technical Fellowship, specifically in the human factors and ergonomics domain. As an Associate Technical Fellow for the company, Donna represented the top 1.5% of the company and was our technical leader in human factors and ergonomics for Boeing Australia. Her specialty ranged from aerospace production and maintenance systems human factors and ergonomics to autonomous systems. While at the company, she either individually or as a member of a team, won numerous technical achievement or intellectual property awards. Many of her achievements both in and outside of Boeing have led to improvements in safety for the aviation industry. While Donna was one of my esteemed mentees, she was also a personal inspiration for me to continue to follow my own advice of building partnerships and alliances for improving your chances of success. Both from an individual contributor and a team contributor, she was known for her ability to rally and inspire those around her to follow technical excellence. I will miss having her for our international collaborations at the company, but know that we will find a way to team up again in the future.
