Provides executive level oversight and support to the Office of the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer of Wellstar MCG Health with respect to strategic planning, operations of the Medical Staff Office, budgetary and administrative support to the Directors within the Office of the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. Works closely with the VP of Medical Staff Services, Director of Provider Enrollment, AVP of Medical Staff Services, and their teams at Corporate Wellstar in Marietta GA. Prepares strategic initiative implementation and business plans to support current and future operational needs of the Health System. Analysis and preparation of executive summaries to present to the Operations Leadership Team, Executive Leadership Team, Medical Staff and Board of Directors as necessary. Represents the VP/CMO in activities to continue the march toward clinical excellence, service and growth. Responsible for developing the budget for the CMO division and work with each Director to assure adequate budgetary oversight and resources are present to complete the required tasks. Ongoing oversight of contracts through the Office of the VP/CMO. Oversees Medical Staff Office (Credentialing and Provider Enrollment) and Credentialing/Privileging of Providers. Experienced in getting employees into right-fit positions. Works closely with HR.

As the Director of Records and Information Management for Augusta University / AU Health Enterprise Human Resources, I lead a team of 7 employees. I have the responsibility for management of the Records and Information Management departments in providing guidance and development opportunities for staff, providing regular coaching and feedback, and completing performance appraisals for direct reports. Responsibilities also include the integration of human resources office procedures into electronic systems in support of human resources administration and projects. This includes overseeing testing and implementation of new or modified Enterprise HRMS systems, modules, and functions to meet changing requirements, defining and coordinating changes to systems with vendors and IT to make HR more efficient, overseeing Enterprise HR reporting for Leadership, Management, HR, Nursing and special reports including Workforce Planning data relevant to the human resources function. Designs and maintains the HR Enterprise website. Responsible for completing Medical Center Affirmative Action Plan including submitting the VETS 100 and EEO-1 reports, OFCCP audits, requests for EEOC data, Joint Commission records requests, approval and posting of HR Medical Center policies. Recommends new equipment/ software to support human resources objectives. Completes additional duties, tasks, special projects and serve on project teams/committees as directed by the Vice President of Human Resources. This position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources.
