About Donna Fields Goldstein
Judge Donna Fields Goldstein presides over a general civil court at the Burbank Courthouse in California. Appointed as Judge by Governor Gray Davis in 2003, Donna Fields Goldstein has enjoyed a career that has encompassed many branches of the judicial system. After graduating from Rutgers School of Law Camden with a Juris Doctor in 1972, she joined the United States Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, acquiring experience in pattern and practice lawsuits. During her tenure, Judge Donna Fields Goldstein had the opportunity to oversee the sex discrimination task force between 1975 and 1977 and implement the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. Subsequently, Judge Donna Fields Goldstein accepted the position as Assistant United States Attorney at the United States District Court’s Central District of California, where she stayed until 1980, gaining experience in discrimination cases.Between 1980 and 2003, Judge Donna Fields Goldstein worked for different legal practices, where she immersed herself in defending management in claims related to employment discrimination. During that period, she handled cases involving the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, the California Family Rights Act, and more. Following her tenure at Rudin, Richman & Appel from 1980 to 1985, Judge Donna Fields Goldstein accepted a position as Partner at Epstein Becker and Green, P.C. in 1985. In 1991, she moved on to a Partnership at the law firm of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, until Governor Gray Davis appointed her as Judge at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, California, in 2003.
