I acquire all content for the monthly, peer-reviewed journal, Horological Times, which is the official publication of the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute. I edit most of the content and proofread all drafts. Working with an advisory committee, I ensure that all content is accurate and appropriate to publish. I research and report on industry news and write feature articles. I also manage the Facebook pages for both Horological Times and AWCI. I photograph events and people at AWCI for print publication and social media. Managing book publishing is also my responsibility, including reprints and new titles. I also help write copy for brochures and other marketing pieces.

Edited, copyedited, fact-checked, and proofread books in the areas of business, fitness and health, travel, local and regional interest, sports, and custom publishing. Wrote marketing copy. Coordinated with authors and designers. Acquired photos and prepared them for print, using Adobe Photoshop.

Responsible for the development of all of the content for Photographer’s Market,a resource directory for freelance photographers. Wrote and edited feature articles; worked with freelance writers to create timely and relevant content; ensured adherence to style guidelines; selected all photographs; wrote blog for photography community; attended conferences and taught classes on the photography business.

Oversaw the production of 100 books per year for 4 imprints: This included managing a staff of 6–8 production editors; monitoring production schedules and ensuring that deadlines were met; conducting editorial best practices training; and creating and monitoring budgets.

Production edited 10–12 books per year while managing and training 2 production editors. Managed the editorial freelance pool, which included evaluating their skills, monitoring their work, and fostering good working relationships between internal staff and freelancers.
