Passionate about young people, raising aspirations and making the link between industry and education. Started my career in commercial recruitment with a focus on engineering, IT and Digital. Developed strong people engagement skills and a drive to help and make a difference. This drive led me into the education sector. Here I was firmly based within the apprenticeship recruitment team working with employers to deliver their recruitment campaigns while supporting young people looking at apprenticeships as a progression route. My time on the team helped me to develop an excellent understanding of apprenticeship standards, funding, delivery, and compliance. Professional employer management/account management skills with the goal of providing a quality driven service whilst being solution focused. Experience of working with employers to market and attract the right candidate whether that be through writing appealing job adverts to school outreach engagement. Project managing the whole recruitment process, from straight forward recruitment campaigns to organising and coordinating large assessment centres. Supporting with early careers planning to identify entry points to support business growth and succession planning. I have a keen eye for identifying gaps and enjoy the challenge of creating new programmes to help bridge these.A qualified careers adviser with a focus on supporting, coaching, and mentoring to help with making informed decisions. Passionate about skills, learning and careers and how this is translated to our young people. My vision is to bring industry and education together to develop the talent of the future by equipping them with skills in order to recognise and achieve their full potential!Currently delivering and overseeing funded programmes both centrally government funded, combined & local authority. Creating new programmes and linking up with strategic partners to shape future skills plans and look at how systemic change can be made to benefit those in, and leaving the education system, and employers who want to attract emerging talent to support economic growth and address the wider skills gap.
