As a successful hospital and ambulatory operations and finance executive, I am committed to improving population health by providing innovative, best-in-class care that minimizes costs while optimizing revenue. I’m achievement-oriented and self-motivated, with the drive to be the best. In my 10 plus years of healthcare leadership, I've developed a reputation as a transformational leader and change catalyst by developing new services, leading large-scale projects, and driving turnarounds using data analytics and best practices.Contributions:• Increasing access to pediatric services through evaluation of center operations, development of multi-disciplinary centers, and launch of a pediatric health home center, an innovative care coordination program for the sickest patients and their families. • Driving large-scale turnaround initiatives and revenue optimization projects that resulted in strong profits for the organization. • Leading the strategic planning and readiness development for a large-scale relocation of a free-standing children’s hospital inpatient tower and outpatient centers to new facilities located on a large urban medical campus. My leadership philosophy is that success cannot be achieved without a high performing team. As a leader that empowers and supports my team, I make it a point to be accessible and collaborative across all layers of the organization, so that we are better prepared to achieve sustainable success.

Vice President, Hospital OperationsWomen And Children'S Hospital Of Buffalo Jun 2016 - Nov 2016Based on my success as Senior Director, I was promoted to VP of Hospital Operations to continue to provide strategic direction, lead the business planning process, approve new business development initiatives, and direct growth strategies for a 200-bed tertiary care, academic hospital serving women and children. The system scope included 40 clinics, 9 off-site locations, school-based health services, imaging services, environmental services, dietary services, and pharmacy services. In this role, I provided direct oversight over ambulatory and ancillary support services, which encompassed multimillion dollar budgetary responsibility, leading a team of 400+ with 9 direct reports.During this time, I developed, in conjunction with VP Revenue Cycle, a system-wide access center to ensure proper registration, insurance verification, and insurance authorization for all outpatient services rendered. This resulted in increased? co-pay collection and reduction in denials for invalid insurance or non-authorization. In addition, I oversaw development of an innovative care coordination program focused on meeting the specific needs of the sickest children and their families in all 8 counties of Western New York. The results of this effort were improved care coordination within pediatric specialty centers and the community, generating increased revenue to the hospital.

Senior Director Hospital OperationsWomen And Children'S Hospital Of Buffalo Aug 2014 - Jun 2016In this role, I was responsible for optimizing operating efficiencies between core functions, maintaining financial stability, and providing direct oversight for ambulatory and ancillary support services. My challenge during this period was to redesign ambulatory operations to increase capacity. With wait lists exceeding 6 months in some subspecialties, there was a need to increase the capacity of the pediatric centers to meet the increasing demand for services. Through re-design of phone access, standardization of scheduling templates, and re-design of center throughput, provider productivity was improved resulting in an increase in volume of 15%. During this time, I also was integral in reinstating pediatric kidney transplant services in Western New York for adolescents through a collaboration with the adult kidney transplant service.

Project And Operations ManagerWomen And Children'S Hospital Of Buffalo Nov 2012 - Aug 2014Due to my success as the Senior Business Advisor for the hospital, I was promoted into management to provide leadership, direction, support, and assistance for all WCHOB projects and strategic initiatives. As the operational lead for the Hospital and Ambulatory Center Relocation Project, I led a multi-disciplinary project team and was the key point person for architects, engineers, system level executives, physician leaders, nursing leaders, ancillary leaders, process improvement coordinators, staff members, and patient family members. Our goal was the efficient and patient-centric design of the new inpatient and ambulatory centers. This was accomplished by redesigning processes and work flows and planning for a seamless move day execution with no disruption to services. In addition to this large-scale project, I was hand-selected by the SVP of Operations to lead a multidisciplinary turnaround team for an adult tertiary care hospital. Using productivity standards and implementation of cost reduction strategies, we quickly implemented changes that provided a direct and positive impact to the bottom-line.
