The curator will make decisions regarding what objects to collect, oversee their care and documentation, conduct research based on the collection, provide proper packaging of art for transport, and share that research with the public and scholarly community through exhibitions and publications.

Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the organization. Develops, in conjunction with the museum strategies for enhancing the museum. Primary responsibility in the development, implementation, and oversight of the BVAAM. Adheres to the budget as closely as possible. Develops and maintains effective relationships with persons and groups directly or indirectly involved in the planning, maintenance, operations, and development of BVAAM. Serves as the BVAAM primary external contact and spokesperson, including interaction with the media, community associations, and others as necessary and appropriate. Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates staff members, as well as overseeing the work of professional consultants. Maintain the ability to dismiss employees. Prepares a variety of special reports as requested by Board members.Understands the role of technology in information exchange and will work to ensure that BVAAM employs the contemporary and innovative methods needed to reach a multiple demographic groups.Create and approve museum publicity and publications.Oversee exhibits and displays.

Serve as liason between KWTX TV and KBTX Media traffic hub, along with the corporate traffic hub.

Mange the natiional advertising budget.
