Donna has returned to the acting arena after a successful career as a Dance Professional. She is currently in production for THE SCOPOPHOBIC ACTRESS, a short comedy film by Tommy McInnis, in the role of Gina. She recently portrayed the role of Kathy in a short film by Tom Bentey and suburbanite Productions LAST CALL. Donna also portrayed The Matron in the short film Rose Donohue. Theatre-wise Donna recently enjoyed portraying Ruth in ACC's production of A.R. Gurney's THE WAYSIDE MOTOR INN directed by Steven Petrillo. Her New York Staged Readings include Gloria in THE BUS SHELTER by Laurel Lockhart at the Episcopal Actors Guild; she also did a staged reading at THE ACTORS STUDIO of Carlos Jerome's play, ONE FOR THE BOOKS in the role of Ruth, as well as Laurie in a staged reading of the play JUST STUFF by Alan Lefcowitz at Polaris North.. She participates as an actor at Times Square Playwrights weekly, reading original works and providing feedback for Playwrights and Screenwriters. Earlier, she performed in two Off-Broadway productions at The Equity Library Theatre in NYC; Annie Get Your Gun directed by Susan Schulman, and in Gigi as Liane D’Exelman, starring Robert Cuccioli, and directed by Gerard Alessandrini of Forbidden Broadway fame.Donna belongs to the professional Acting unions Actors Equity Assn. and SAG-AFTRA.She trained as an actor in a two year Meisner Technique program at the Gately-Poole Studios in NYC, as well as with Michael Howard at the Michael Howard studio also in NYC. Her Singing training includes several top professional New York Instructors, including Laura Menard, as well as coaching with Steven Petrillo, whose students include many Broadway professionals

As an Instructor, Donna started her career at the ‘original’ Stepping Out Dance Studio, where she was instrumental in introducing WEST COAST SWING to New York City. She taught West Coast Swing while bringing in West Coast Swing Professionals from around the country. Donna also became the Dance Director of the Country Western Dance Studio at the New York “DO-DAS” location.Teaching in Washington, DC from in 1995 - 2002, Donna was instrumental in providing dance events and instruction to the thrivingWest Coast Swing community. Along with her former partner, Donna hosted weekly dance events in Falls Church, Virginia, and monthly dances in College Park, Maryland. Donna instructed workshop classes prior to all of her dances. 2002-2003 offered Donna a chance to Co-direct K2 Dance Studio with Jane Ford. Their Studio specialized in several forms of Swing including West Coast Swing, Lindy, East Coast Swing, Jitterbug and DC Hand Dancing. (Donna is also an "original" NY Smooth Lindy, Hustle, Mambo, Cha-Cha and Salsa dancer.)As a Promoter Donna, along with Ken Roesel, hosted Dance Weekend Events with nationally ranked Swing Pros.Donna was well known as a Judge for West Coast Swing, Hustle, Lindy, and Country Western Events throughout the country. Donna also enjoys working with couples as a competitive Coach.
