One person can change the world, right? Well, perhaps my goal is a bit idealistic but I’m willing to give it a go :). I am a lover of people and while my employment background ranges from finance to church engagement, my life has always consisted of working with or leading teams making a difference in people’s lives: from youth groups to board tables, from Rosie's Street Vans to flood recovery. From bookkeeping to executive management. Life is full and rewarding with a husband and adult kids who share (or tolerate :) a love of adventure and fun. And every morning I wake up looking forward to the day because I work for an organisation which brings uplift to individuals, churches and communities and I get to play my part in an awesome team, helping people and organisations discover and fulfil their mission. I have a passion for identifying strengths and nurturing, refining, and stretching towards excellence, both in myself, in others, and within organisations. I am a graduate and great supporter of Arrow Leadership for the work they do in raising up emerging and executive leaders. I love to celebrate the achievements and successes of individuals and groups and use my enthusiasm to energise people and inspire them to tackle the tasks at hand. I feel a sense of achievement when being inventive and innovative, and am excited by a new idea. I love to think about the future and inspire people with images of what can be. I’m always open to opportunities to launch initiatives, present proposals or solve problems. I enjoy the feeling of a project completed as much as an insightful coaching conversation, times of quiet as much as catching up with old friends, and no matter what obstacles come my way I can’t quite escape the conviction that it is good to be alive. As they say in the old hymn, “It is well with my soul”!
