I am semi-retired, a primary caregiver for an Alzheimer's patient, and am loving working in a permanent part-time position with the Bank of Botetourt. They have graciously provided me a venue to continue to work with the public in a service arena. Prior to this, I spent the better part of a decade responsible for drawing in graduate students to the graduate programs offered in predominately service-oriented fields at Radford University. I have also worked as a licensed K-6 teacher for five years, working in Cumberland and Bedford County public schools as a general education teacher. Education and opening doors for students has been part of my vocation for many years.In my first vocation, I spent 15 years in the travel industry, managing several agencies in both Roanoke and Greensboro. I also spent time early on learning the industry in Philadelphia.In each of these diverse fields, there was obligation to maintain a sense of organization in a multiple project world, have a positive personality and outgoing demeanor, travel periodically, and carry a sense of creativity. Providing service to the public is an integral part of my employment history and I have been fortunate to be able to continue in that realm with positivity and productivity. Specialties: .
