• Following my return from Canada, I was re-hired on a 6 month contract to be highly involved in an organisation restructure project reporting to the CFO.ProjectThe project envisages the collapse of all subsidiary.
• Involved in the centralisation of payroll and purchasing (PO system) processes to improve efficiency and create a uniform process across the organisation.
• Transfer of undertakings (TUPE) of all employees of subsidiary companies to IGB under the PAYE modernisation system.
• Engagement with solicitors, executive team and property valuers as part of the market value review of all IGB assets.

• Following an initial three month secondment from BDO to IGB, the position was extended and enhanced to a permanent role.Management Accounting
• Responsible for overseeing the finance function of ten different tracks (all individual companies) and report to the Chief Financial Officer and the CEO in the absence of the CFO.
• Financial controller over the group of trading subsidiaries.
• Management of six finance administrators.
• Introduced procedures to reduce the lead time for the month end reporting process from ten days to a five day month end close for subsidiary companies.
• Prepared detailed commentary and monthly analysis of profit and loss account, income streams, monthly expenses and cost fluctuations.

• Perform audits of our clients ensuring completion in a timely and efficient manner with several audits being completed to strict group reporting deadlines.
• Preparation of planning documents, including assessment of risk and developing audit approach.
• Managing and leading audit teams to ensure deadlines are met and audit work is completed to a high standard.
• Review of company’s practices and controls to identify any weakness and communicate these to our clients to help improve their current structures and processes.
• Preparation of financial statements to review stage, drafting of corporation tax returns and CRO returns and ensuring all information gathered, reviewed and prepared before reporting deadlines.

• Responsible for managing my own pension audits, this involved communicating with administrators and clients in a professional manner on a daily basis.

• Improved my attention to detail when proof reading Financial Statements and drafting letters to the Trustees and the Client.
