As a student intern with the Seattle District Office of USACE, I assisted the Environmental and Cultural Resources Branch in completing environmental legal documents and properly evaluating mitigation requirements. In the internship I worked in the following areas:Researched extensively for multiple construction projects and permitting sites to safely determine the effect on endangered species and to ensure compliance with U.S. environmental laws Assisted in writing an environmental assessment for a dredging project of a navigation channel on the Salish SeaCreated a geospatial database through ArcGIS to assign ecological values to a general investigation project of 5 levee repairs for potential mitigation requirements. This involved visiting work sites to assess and assign habitat composition and qualityAssisted a team of fisheries biologists in an electrofishing fish rescue on the Yakima River for an emergency management repair of a collapsed levee

As staff for Eastern Tallgrass Prairie and Big Rivers Landscape Conservation Cooperative I currently work in these areas: Team member of Ecological Places in Cities Urban Network--I assist in bringing together the various stakeholders involved in urban areas to encourage collaboration and strategic planning for diverse resources and interested communities that want to improve habitat wherever it can be found.Coordinator of the in progress Lower Wabash River Landscape Conservation Design-- I connect state agencies, federal agencies, private landowners, refuge managers and interested community members in drafting a plan for landscape scale conservation in the Lower Wabash River watershed spanning Indiana and Illinois. Assistant to Science Coordinator in Project Management--I keep track of all grants funded by the LCC to determine deadlines are met, deliverables are submitted and all can be accessed through our USGS Science Base portal. Jack of All Trades--I help the ETPBR LCC in all initiatives involving: panel discussions, meeting presentations, planning meetings, facilitating communication between partners, creating and hosting weekly webinar series, data management, creating and displaying spatial data through ArcGIS and communication of focal areas to various audiences.

As the assistant farm manager of this urban greenhouse farm, we built the farm from the ground up. We cleared an abandoned parking lot and built 6 high tunnel hoop houses. All plants were grown from seed to harvest, sold at restaurants around Atlanta and employed people from the surrounding neighborhood. In my role, I managed 8 employees in daily tasks of planting and harvesting as well as completing farm operations and repairs.

Led emergency home repairs throughout the entire Appalachian region for this Non-Profit Organization. Drove a truck and coordinated services to 10 different counties spanning 3 different states to remove construction debris from work sites. Managed gas budgets by closely managing schedule of routes. Deeply experienced in establishing and employing new and meaningful metrics to track project progress.

Volunteer Leader: planned and taught Pre-Service Training for 30 new volunteers. Organized 2-day All-Volunteer Conference for best practices collaboration and monitoring and evaluation training. Co-constructed criterium for Ambassador's Emergency Relief Rice Distribution 2012 implemented in 10 rural villages.Environmental Educator: Agroforestry trainer for youth development community based organization and Environmental Club for local primary school. Manager of multi-purpose tree nursery and beekeeping training school. Research Assistant: Contributed to population studies and analysis of oyster and cockle fishery projects at World Wildlife Fund. Co-wrote analysis reports and impact statements. Increased oyster and cockle harvest production by 45%.

Assisted research of aquatic invertebrate composition for National Science Foundation's Frontiers in Integrative Biological Research Trinidad study. Organized logistics for graduate laboratory including 6 thesis studies.
