As the representative of the Earth Observations sector towards CMEMS I focused on the impacts of CMEMS policies, funding and focus on startups in the space sector.

Coordinate operations and business development activities to accelerate the uptake of Earth Observation products and services whilst delivering value to members and other key stakeholders in the European EO sector.EARSC is a member-led association representing over 100 organisations active along the whole value chain of Earth observations. Our aim is to shape the regulatory environment and enhance business opportunities for the European EO sector in Europe and across the globe.

Here I helped SWCOESA to tailor their offerings to early stage startups, allowing them to exploit EU funding and networks to succeed.

Established commercial services department in the marine and satellite observation domain committed to commercialising the output of the fantastically skilled research staff at PML to support and further their research into one of the world's greatest challenges of the moment - monitoring and maintaining the health of our oceans.Led a team of highly skilled experts in the fields of operational satellite data processing, marine health and pollution monitoring and modelling, airborne data processing (hyperspectral, thermal, lidar, visual...) and web applications and visualisations. Leveraged networks and contacts, signed commercial contracts and operated projects to deliver profit ensuring commercial support for the charity.

Here I was responsible for defining the 3E R&D roadmap to ensure the successful participation of our company in the economy of the future. I followed regional and European level business and research trends to determine which areas we should be active in, then define and deliver research projects to ensure that we are competent in these areas when they can deliver business value.I was actively engaged in developing SAAS and consulting models for solar and wind energy data provision, as well as building and district level energy efficiency solutions. I was active in research project design and acquisition, as well as commercial developments to bring R&D projects to market.This role allowed me not only to exploit my ability to define and secure successful research proposals, but to flex my business model generation capacities by bringing new services to market. My personal traits that allowed me to succeed in this position include: - vision, - persuasion,- market comprehension,- knowledge of funding landscape,- economic exploitation mindset.I was fortunate enough to have had an extremely talented staff to support me in my endeavour. I employ a pluralist management style to ensure that the ground-level truths are included in the management-level goal-setting. I subscribe to an Agile product development management style to ensure that internal and external clients' needs are met while minimising unnecessary effort. I believe 100% in the competencies of my staff and have seen that this is rewarded by their efforts to ensure that this trust is well placed.

Here at 3E I was very pleased to work with a dedicated and reliable team on wind resource assessment and wind power plant production modelling. As the wind simulations program manager I had the responsibility to ensure that my team delivered top quality products to our internal and external stakeholders as well as securing financing from a range of national and international government funding bodies.I was the coordinator the FP7 European research project ClusterDesign, creating design tools for clusters of offshore wind farms. Leading a team comprising 5 academic and commercial enterprises in 4 countries was a demanding task that stimulated me intellectually and strengthened my project administration skills.Achievements:Secured 1 mil € of funding for wind energy develoments, including the New European Wind Atlas Secured 1m€ of funding for the FutureFlow project to design markets for inclusion of wind and solar energy in reserve markets.Developed and brought to market wind energy forecasting service.Developed in-house tools to improve consulting services, e.g. meteorological data delivery website, including reanalysis, satellite data, client and NOAA met stations.

As an air quality engineer at Meteo France I conducted CO2 dispersion modelling, compared model output and observations using statistical evaluation. The work was conducted for CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) as part of the Mega-Paris pollution research project.Models used: MESO-NH, LPDM, AROME.Languages: Python, FORTRAN

As part of the air, noise and greenhouse gas team I managed a variety of air quality projects for government, mining and the oil & gas sector. These were principally dispersion modelling, emissions estimation studies, environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and assessment of ambient air quality for comparison against national and international standards. I also conducted technical reviews of a range of environmental projects.Models used: TAPM, AUSPLUME.Languages: VBA, BASH.

As a part-time member of Murdoch University staff, I worked in a variety of roles including:• Tutor (Atmospheric Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Australian Environmental Issues, Foundation Courses, Introduction to Science, Earth System Science);• Laboratory demonstrator (Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Management);• Lecturer (Atmospheric Science, Earth System Science); • Field technician (Performed various field investigations including intensive and long-term atmospheric sampling with NCAR in the BUFEX experiment); • Board member (Murdoch University Environmental Science School Advisory Board).

In my role as an environmental consultant I conducted environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and contaminated sites assessments for a variety of private and industrial clients.
