Expanded role from Provost Marshal (previous entry) to include supervision of the entire Protection Directorate that includes Division Engineer, Air and Missile Defense, Chem-Bio-Radiological-Explosives, and Personnel Recovery functional sections. Deputy Director at a large multi-mission military installation and, as such, is the deputy manager for Law Enforcement, Physical Security, Fire and Emergency Services, and 911 Emergency Communications, which encompass a variety of sensitive and critical garrison-wide programs directly affecting life, health, and safety of a community of over 45,000 members. The Directorate includes 269 Fire, Law Enforcement, Security and administrative personnel comprised of both Soldiers and Civilians, equipment valued in excess of $5 million, and an annual budget in excess of $22 million. Deputy Director duties include: Oversees the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of assigned programs, including development, assignment, and higher level clearance of goals and objectives for supervisors or managers of subordinate divisions. Oversees programs involving fire protection and prevention on the installation which includes aircraft rescue; Supervises the management, planning, directing, and evaluating of law enforcement activities; Plans and coordinates efforts of subordinate staff that provides HR, Logistical, budgetary and administrative support.

Focus was supervision of BN Staff that included Human Resources, Intelligence, Logistics, Communications, Maintenance, Religious Support and Family Readiness. Highlights include Certification of Primary Staff for Deployment to Operation New Dawn, Redeployment/Reintegration of 511th MP Co from OEF, Deployment and Certification of 563rd MP Co to OEF.

Assistant Professor and Course Executive Officer for PL100: General Psychology for Leaders. Responsible for coordinating the systematic design of instruction and the day to day operations of the 1300 student core course at the #1 public college in the nation (Forbes, 2009 ratings). Taught four sections (approx 65) students per semester. Performed duties as the Conference Executive Officer/Coordinator for the 2009 West Point Global Leadership Conference: Understanding the Human Dimension in an Era of Persistent Volatility. Also volunteered as an Officer Representative, Head Academic Officer, for the Army Wrestling team (NCAA Div I) which included 5 Academic All-Americans over the 3 year period.

Earned Master of Education in Educational Psychology in preparation of faculty position at West Point. Focus was Higher Education Counseling. Research focused on the relationship dynamics following pregnancy loss. Practicum conducted at the Williamson County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program in Round Rock. Clientele were 12-17 year olds, focus was short-term, solution-oriented and goal-setting therapy for a variety of behavioral and psychological challenges such as gang-membership, unsupportive family environments, ADD/ADHD, and a full range of early personality and development disorders.

Operations Officer for a forward-deployed CID BN. Leads, Trains, guides and coaches an 11-person staff including US and Korean Soldiers and civilians. Plans, coordinates and monitors the daily training and operations of a 135-Soldier BN dispersed throughout Korea, Japan and Okinawa. Ensures the timely forecast and accurate management of the training program, ranges, ammunition, and schools. Develops, coordinates, advises and implements training guidance and contingency plans. Analyzes mission requirements for deployments and develops and implements mission-specific training and readiness plans to meet the commander's intent. Ensures the BN is prepared to transition immediately and conduct its wartime mission.

Commands a forward deployed MTOE Internment/Resettlement Company that operates the Eight Army Confinement Facility in the Republic of Korea. Responsible for the training, readiness and welfare of 84 US and Korean Soldiers that operate the facility, the safety and security of an average inmate population of 20 US Military Prisoners and maintaining American Correctional Association (ACA) standards. Also provides administrative and logistical support to 10 SOFA personnel confined by the ROK. Maintains accountability and servicibility of property and equipment valued over $250 million, and manages an annual budget of $254,000. Provides subject matter expertise and Mobile Training Teams to assist deploying units throughout the Korean peninsula and operates the Battalion's School of Standards. Highlights include Earning ACA accreditation for the first time in the history of the facility and developing a training/certification program for non-MP units deploying from throughout Korea to Iraq in order to conduct detainee operations.

Commands a tactical Military Police (MP) combat support company, comprised of over 200 US and Korean personnel forward deployed in the Republic of Korea. Conducts MP operations, combat support, and force protection operations in support of the Eighth US Army Community dispersed over three different installations with over 5,000 personnel. Responsible for providing a well trained, motivated and disciplined MP force to Area III in support of all missions to include: Force Protection, Manuever and Mobility Support, Area Security, and Internment and Resettlement Operations. Manages budget of over $220k and protects over $5.5 million worth of equipment and resources. Highlights include squad-level dismounted live fire exercises, Top Company in Korea award for our KATUSA program (integration of Korean Army Augmentees) and personally selected as the Battalion's MacArthur Leadership Award nominee.

Assistant S3 operations Officer for the largest, most forward-deployed Military Police Combat Support Battalion consisting of over 860 US and Korean Soldiers in the Republic of Korea. Responsible for the training readiness of the battalion and its five subordinate companies to accomplish its wartime combat support mission in support of Combined Forces Command, US Forces Korea, and Eighth US Army and its law enforcement mission providing protection to 34 installations with over 60k US and Korean personnel and security of resources in excess of $150 million. Primary duties are supervision of the battalion training system, planning Mission Essential Task List based training, supervising execution, and tracking results of the training to ensure subordinate units are fully resourced for training and are trained to execute both their armistice and wartime missions.

Forward Support Platoon Leader in a Force Package One Heavy Division Military Police Company in support of 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. Responsible for the training, readiness, discipline, morale, quality of life, and professional development of 21 Soldiers and their families. Responsible for the readiness and accountability of over $700k worth of equipment to include seven HMMWV with radio systems and MK-19 (40mm) machine guns. Responsible for implementing an effective training program with emphasis on individual and collective tasks. Provide law enforcement support for III Corps, 1st Cavalry Division, and the Fort Hood community. Additional Duties include: Unit Status Readiness Officer, Unit Maintenance Officer, HAZMAT officer, Force Modernization Officer. Highlights include platoon deployment to Bosnia, NTC Rotation, Division Ready Brigade (DRB1).
